San Luis Rey River - Oceanside
Recently, The city of Oceanside plowed a section of vegetation down near the edge of the San Luis Rey River. This gave me access to parts of the river that I have never seen. It is difficult to hike to many parts of this river due to thick vegetation and areas of major growths of poison oak. In fact, many years ago, I caught my worst case of poison oak all over my body from trampling around this river in the fall season. Anyway, on this day I was able to access and visit some really beautiful areas along the river a couple or few miles downstream from where they plowed.
