Palomar Mountain - Wedding In Upper French Valley

I had a rare opportunity to visit Upper French Valley in the upper reaches of Palomar Mountain. On the map, Palomar Mountain is actually two ranges side by side with valleys like this all throughout the middle. We were at about 5500 feet elevation in this valley with the highest peak of the mountain not too far away at 6140 feet. My friend Robbie and his band and I were invited here to DJ and set up the band here in the valley for his cousins wedding. What a place to get married, in this mountain paradise. It was a really special day for the wedding couple and for all who attended for that matter. This is one of the most beautiful, pristine, untouched valleys that I have seen on the mountain. It was a real treat to walk through the meadows which were completely carpeted with yellow, blue and purple flowers and the geese and their chicks were slipping in and out of the ponds. We set up a killer sound system and band and rocked that valley and had a great mountain party.

  1. Gorgeous meadows. It sure is a lot greener and wetter there than I would have guessed.
